
My Approach
Having worked with so many people that have managed to drastically reduce or even eradicate the effects of a wide range of traumas from their lives, I wanted to share more of this journey. By gaining a wide range of tools in my 25 years as a Therapist, I truly believe that I may be able to help you to reduce/remove the negative and life debilitating effects that are so often left after one or more traumatic experiences.

My Approach
My work is grounded in the belief that healing begins with safety — the safety to speak, to feel, to pause, and to reconnect with parts of yourself that may have been pushed aside in order to cope. Trauma affects both mind and body, so my approach brings together psychological understanding with gentle, somatic techniques that help the nervous system settle and recover.
A central part of my practice is Havening Techniques®, a psycho‑somatic method that uses calming, soothing touch to support the brain in reducing the emotional intensity attached to distressing memories. Havening works with the body’s natural mechanisms for creating a sense of safety, helping clients feel more grounded and less overwhelmed by past experiences.
I chose Havening because, after many years of working with trauma, I saw that talking alone wasn’t always enough. Trauma often lives in the body — in patterns of tension, hyper‑vigilance, or emotional reactivity that people can’t simply “think” their way out of. Havening offers a gentle, effective way to help the nervous system shift out of survival mode and into a place where healing becomes possible.
